As a hybrid Chinese restaurant, Redbird’s complimentary clashing of rustic and polished elements reflects the menu’s offering: perch bar-side for a jasmine margarita cocktail and plate of pork and scallop wontons, or flock to it with friends and settle in for decadent feasting.

The space showcases the food in a tangible way. It emotively balances the sour, sweet and salty flavours via eclectic furnishings (including bentwood chairs mingling with angular solid timber SIA chairs), tonal mixes, and by pairing rugged textures with elegant insertions. The brick, cork, grey terrazzo table surfaces and stone bar top plus lazy Susan’s all share a common denominator: all age perfectly.
