Epula

2025 | RESTAURANT | SYDNEY

Honouring the grandeur of its heritage setting within the colonnaded façade of Sydney’s GPO building, Epula captures the opulence of Europe’s Golden Age. A soaring arched timber bar anchors the setting, reflected in a wall of patinaed mirrors that enrich the jewelled abundance of patterned velveteen seating and richly veined stone table surfaces.

Previously a retail setting, we created sociable intimacy amongst the room’s towering arched windows via dark timber datums, fluted glass seating partitions and mother-of-pearl chandeliers lithely suspended from brass armatures. The restaurant’s Eurocentric charm spills out to al freso dining making Martin Place feel once again like the CBD’s vibrant town square.
